OsGLR2.1 expression is involved in Glu-induced [Ca2+]i increase in HEK cells. [Ca2+]i increase was analyzed by Fura-2 emission ratios (F340 nm:F380 nm). Arrow indicates the applications of Glu, Asp or buffer control. The baselines of different treatments were the same (F340 nm:F380 nm ≈ 0.136), and the lines were separated for clearness. Application of Glu to OsGLR2.1-expressing HEK cells was able to induce the [Ca2+]i increase, while other treatments had no effect to change the [Ca2+]i level in HEK cells. Fluorescence data were collected every 5 s. Data for independent cells in one experiment are shown (mean ± sd; n = 20)
