The resistant reaction group was leaves from a 2-month-old Nipponbare-Xa21 treated with X. oryzae (resistant variety) and the susceptible reaction group was leaves from a 2-month-old Nipponbare-Xa21 treated with X. oryzae (susceptible variety). The mock treatment group was leaves from a 2-month-old Nipponbare-Xa21 treated with water. B. Expression after M. grisea inoculation. The resistant reaction group was leaves from a 3-week-old Nipponbare-Pi9 treated with M. grisea (resistant variety) and the susceptible reaction group was leaves from a 3-week-old Nipponbare treated with M. grisea (susceptible variety).
