Expression levels of Fe-related genes in the roots of the HRZ2i + Refre lines. Transcript levels of OsHRZ1, OsHRZ2, Refre1/372, OsNAS1, TOM1, OsIRT1 and OsYSL2 were quantified by reverse transcription (RT)-PCR after Fe-sufficient hydroponic culture. Transcript abundance was normalized to rice α-2 tubulin and expressed as a ratio to the NT. The means ± SD are shown (n = 3). Asterisks indicate significant differences compared to the NT (two-sample Student’s t-test; *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01)
