  1. Plants were soil grown on four levels of salinisation (EC of 0, 4, and 6 dS m−1) and three levels of Si fertilisation (0, 90 and 130 kg ha−1). The effect of Si is expressed as percentage reduction, relative to the ‘no Si added’ condition
