The MoPER1 deletion mutant had defects in cell wall integrity. a-c The wild type strain Guy11 and the ∆Moper1 strain were inoculated on CM medium with or without SDS (0.01% and 0.05% w/v), CFW (200 and 500 μg/ml) and CR (200 and 500 μg/ml), and cultured at 28 °C for 7 days. The growth inhibition rate is estimated relative to the growth rate of each untreated control [Inhibition rate = (the diameter of untreated strain – the diameter of treated strain)/(the diameter of untreated strain × 100%)].
