The levels of GAMYB transcript were not upregulated in Koshihikari. Relative transcript levels of GAMYB in Nipponbare and Koshihikari (a), ZH11 and ZH11(el1) (b), and HNIL(M23) and HNIL(H143) (c), were normalized to the transcript levels of UBQ5. The RT-qPCR was performed with total RNA from germinating seeds 2 days after soaking. Means and standard deviations were obtained from three replications. The experiments were repeated twice with similar results and Student’s t-test was used for statistical analysis (***P < 0.001)
