Early plant defense/wounding (Eulgem et al. 1999; Nishiuchi et al. 2004)

  1. Motifs: the 15 most overrepresented motifs (size-2–12 bp) among training set sequences (n = 13) were recognized by the MEME algorithm (Bailey et al. 2006). Known plant associated cis-elements in motif sequences were identified using PLACE signal scan (Higo et al. 1999). The numbers of cis-elements that are present in multiple copies are presented in the table
  2. OsGLP gene family 5′ regulatory regions: 1,000-bp sequences upstream of ATG initiation codons for OsGLP8-1 to 8-12 were extracted from the Nipponbare reference genome sequence, MSU Pseudomolecules, V.4
  3. aThe indica-specific OsGLP8-6 insertion sequence (858 bp) was cloned and sequenced from cultivars IR64 and SHZ-2 and was included in the motif search training set
